Chistopher James Pitman: Where is he now?
A former work colleague of Chris has reached out sharing their professional and personal experiences with him.
He has provided further information on what happened while overseas, the personal interactions Chris has with junior work colleagues and what he has been up to after getting kicked out of the Defence Force.
Lets get into it!
Paris Deployment
Former colleagues have discussed the possibility of Chris being being under the influence while reading the Ode on Anzac Day - 2022. This was around the time he pleaded guilty to a number of charges while on Duty in France.
Watching the Live Stream, you can see if eyes darting around with almost a worried look on his face. People have talked about his weird body language and demeanour on the day which also made them have these concerns.
While on deployment in France, Chris had a partner back home in Australia which he was cheating on. On top of sleeping with the two junior ranked members, he was also accused of inappropriately touching another officer in France.
His texts of egregious nature to the junior ranked colleague, which was mentioned in his court martial document, was along the lines of:
"He wants to push her out of a plane with no parachute and beat her to death with her broken bones".
There has also been reports of him using Defence pay for him to have his own room at hotels, which I was told he was not entitled to. Always borrowing money off people and never paying them back.
He was known for the lack of care he had for his Troops.
After one troop had a seizure in a taxi and spent over a week in hospital. Chris never bothered to check in to see how he was recovering. I have also heard rumours about his antics before the Paris trip but we will keep them as rumours.
I think it is safe to that he was up to no good while overseas, and we can see why this behaviour resulted in him leaving the Defence Force.
Where is he now?
When Chris left the ADF in July he had to stay in a psychiatric hospital in Wollongong as part of an inpatient program. A former colleague said he spent his days exploring the sights and sounds of Wollongong instead of participating in activities designed for him while in Hospital.
He is now in Broken Hill, NSW, spending his days working in a local book shop.
In his spare time he tries to work his way through the ladies of Broken Hill using apps like tinder, bumble and hinge. As they say, old habits die hard.
Summary
It is never a good sign when former work mates call you out for having poor hygiene, being a total sleeze bag and abusing too much nicotine and alcohol.
It sounds like he was in a down hill spiral towards the end of his career and instead of seeking help, he pushed negative energy on everyone around him.
Which has hurt people and affected their lives.
After hearing all the stories, it sounds like he spends his days holding grudges and trying to bring other down instead of getting the help he needs.
